Another reason to give thanks

We are happy to officially annouce the addition of another heartbeat into this world. It is still "early" in the pregnancy, but I am in my 8th week now and feeling very good. The baby is due 7/7/09, but is already measuring at least 5 days early. Emma was born on my birthday 6/24 (her due date was 7/3) and I've decided that if this baby is also born that day, I will have to start buying lottery tickets regularly because the odds of that are just unreal. :) (I predict a 6/28 birthday.) We are very excited for #2 and you can see the above ultrasound pictures of the little one. Still blob like, but we were able to watch the heart beating 185 beats per minute and he/she jumped a little which was funny. Tiny arm buds are there and we also saw the umbilical cord. Emma is very excited to be a big sister and she is so loving to everyone that we think she'll do a great job! :) I've already had a couple baby dreams, all about boys. With her I dreamt all about girls so we'll see if my premonition comes true again! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to everyone. Love, the expanding Keeney's!!!

Thanksgiving Party 2008

Click Picture for more Photos
Last weekend we hosted our annual friends Thanksgiving party. We had 24 adults and 7 kids which was the largest party we've hosted so far. Things went very smoothly for the most part. The food was great. The turkey turned out perfect and even the weather turn out to be unseasonably warm. The only near-catastrophe was that the back door was left open and Emma decided she wanted to go outside with the big boys. She made it down the first two steps like a big girl walking on her feet before she missed the third and did a complete somersault down to the bottom, landing on her head and back on the cement patio. I ran out just in time to see her fall and Tracy was running from the yard also just in time to see her fall. It is a miracle that she wasn't hurt more and she really is a trooper, barely even crying. I, however, was not so ok and am still upset about it.

Trip to the Denver Children's Museum

On Veteran's Day Emma and I took a trip to the Children's Museum. We met Jon, Cassie, Trevor and Hailey; Deanna and Max; and Leanne and Riley. It was fun to watch the kids play with all the toys and try things out. There was a fire truck to climb on with coats kids could try on, a mini grocery store, a room for toy trains, a basketball court, and many other fun things! She had a great time and we were both exhausted by the end.
