Info: Nomar was one of the most highly anticipated prospects to come through the Red Sox system for a very long time. He emerged on the scene in 1996 and won the rookie of the year award. He won two batting titles with the sox while establishing himself as a premiere SS in the American League. An unfortunate wrist injury sidelined him for a year and since than he has had major health issues. Nomar was the prince of Boston till he was traded to the Cubs at the deadline in ’04. The sox went on to win the series and Nomar did get a ring for his contributions.
