And now for the main event. Saturday morning the guys in the wedding party got together and headed to Zebbs for a pre-wedding lunch. We made the new guys (Gampp, Rick, & Nate) do Batmans which is a very odd tradition that we came up with when we were like 13. It's basically a shot of vanilla coke and tobacco sauce. They really are nasty.
The wedding was at hope lake at 4:30 the weather was perfect and everyone look great. I was very emotional as I watched Abbey walk down the isle it was a very special moment and I couldn't wait for her to reach me. The Luxs prepared a wonderful ceremony and Christine cried a lot but it was very special. Pictures turned out real well as the sun was perfect and the background was so green and plush. We have about 1000 pictures and it's going to take a very long time to sort through them all.
The set up a Jeramia's was beautiful and the food was very tasty. We did get to enjoy the food for a bit but did do our oblitory chats with everyone. The cup cake tree was beautiful even though we thought there was going to be more colors other than just white. Shiff, Gampp, and Laura gave very nice speeches and our first dance was lovely even though I know I have no rhythm.
The Coors light keg was never ending and the wine last a very long time. Everyone got a bit saucy with Erin taking the cake for most sauced. The Colorado boys and girls had a great rendition of YMCA which was entertaining to all. I feel like everyone had a great time at the reception and Abbey and I are very grateful that everyone was able to come.
The Brunch the next day at the golden skillet was a nice time for Abbey and I to see everyone one last time before heading back to Boston to start our married lives and to get a little rest. Poor Erin could not really enjoy the breakfast as she was not felling all that great. Actually there were quite a few people that were under the weather that morning.
